Boy of the Painted Cave is a book by Justin Denzel and has 158 pages. It is a book about Tao, a boy with a dream of becoming a cave painter. Sadly, he cannot achieve this dream because he is not born of a leader or shaman, and has a foot that is twisted to the right disabling him. The clan leader Volt also despises his thinking and dreaming. Then he meets a master of cave painting known as Greybeard. He then teaches him the art of painting. When Greybeard dies, Tao fulfills his dream and not only that, he follows Greybeard`s footsteps as a shaman.
Without Greybeard the story wouldn`t have ended the way it should. If Greybeard wasn`t there, Tao wouldn`t have a teacher to guide him to become a shaman. He his important because of his strong influence on Tao. He was an inspiration to Tao. This is how Greybeard affects the story.
